The Heart of Elul; The Heart of Our Mission

As we step into the month of Elul, we are reminded of the sacred phrase hidden in its letters:

“Ani l’dodi v’dodi li” I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine.

This verse is more than poetry. It speaks of a sacred exchange, a love that is whole, circular, and mutual. It reminds us that when we take the first step to open ourselves, we are met not with force, but with presence.

To say Ani l’dodi is to offer ourselves. To say v’dodi li is to be received, cherished, and safe.

At Chayal’s Angels, we hold to this same truth.

Just as G-d mirrors us with tenderness, we meet our soldiers where they are, inviting them to show up for themselves, to listen inward, and to open to healing. In return, they are met with care, safety, and support that affirms their wholeness.

This is not one-sided giving. It is sacred mutuality.

Our soldiers step toward healing, and we step toward them together creating a circle of resilience, presence, and strength.

And we ask you to join that circle.

Just as our soldiers show up for themselves and for us, we invite you to meet us where you can, helping us continue to provide holistic mind, body, and soul healing on bases across Israel.

Your support allows us to mirror back to our soldiers what Elul teaches us all:

That to be seen is to still be safe.

That to be received is to be cherished.

That healing happens when we show up together because, We Are One.
